With the growing popularity of cotton blankets, we thought it would be interesting to find out how to make our own cotton wash cloths.
We bought a couple of yards of cotton fabric from a local fabric store and we then cut them to fit our bedroom wall.
We then used a pair of scissors to cut the wash cloth into strips.
We also used some duct tape to hold the strips together as well as a couple layers of felt to help keep the fabric from unraveling.
We then placed the fabric strips in a ziplock bag and stored the washcloth strips in the freezer until the next time we were looking to change the look of our room.
When it came time to get into the DIY part, we found that we had a lot of fabric leftover and were able to find plenty of other useful items.
We used a washcloth as a wash cloth and a pair, the most expensive pair, to dry the clothes before drying them on a fabric mat.
Then we cut some cotton fabric strips and glued them to the washcloths so that the strips would stick to the wall and dry in the coldest part of the room.
We also used the strips to dry some towels to make a new layer of drywall, and the strips were then used to form a new washcloth strip to add another layer of washcloth to the bottom.
We made our own washcloth fabric by cutting strips of fabric and then stitching them together.
